What is Poster Printing?
Poster printing is one of the most common tools used in advertising these days. Moreover, it is now seen as a craft and a work of art. As time passes by, the view and method applied on it have changed, that today online poster printing exists.
The method of poster printing started in the 16th century. This has been utilized for commercial purposes such as the advertisements of different products, which is made easier today through online poster printing. The announcements of different events were also made possible through the application of this business technique. Even event organizers resorted to posters for greater information dissemination of their programs.
In the 19th century, poster printing has taken a new form as it entered the creative arena. Since then, many artists made this their technique in their masterpieces. Sizes of posters may vary. Companies print small and big posters depending on the need of the costumers. Many printing presses use 11 by 17 papers. This size is used for government announcements and publications. Organizations in universities also utilize this to publicize and attract participants to their programs such as academic conferences and sponsored contests. Theaters today employ 27 by 39 inches posters because most printers opt to produce this size. The most common sizes of posters are ranging from 18 to 27 inches in width and 2 to 39 inches in length.
Conversely, big printing companies produce huge commercial posters for various needs. A printing company in Germany can produce 81 inches compared to the regular large format of 56 or 64 inches. Posters of these sizes are used to reach out to a larger set of target spectators. For example, corporations resort in utilizing billboards along roads and high-ways, and wall displays in malls and other establishments to advertise their products or services.
True enough, poster printing is effective in attaining a widespread, cost-efficient and immediate dissemination of information.
